25 years ago, I was asked by a youth instructor by a youth instructor if I would be interested in picking something as a means to help our church. I was terrified to get in front of people. After some thought, the running sound looked incredibly interesting. I began to read a lot. I also learned fast that the sound engineer becomes the front of the audience whenever a mistake occurs. Being terrified of being the center of attention, I quickly realized the board and how everything worked together. After College, I ended up moving to Tennessee. Running sound in Tennessee is where I found my love for professional live sound. I had the opportunity to build and run all different kinds of systems and get the chance to meet some of the most talented musicians.
